A warm welcome to Layton Primary School. Our aim is to enable our whole school community to develop and grow together to enable our pupils to be the best they can be, whatever their talents. Here, we live up to our motto in all our work – “Growing great minds together’ in each and every curriculum subject.

Our values focus on developing the skills of successful learners. We will need these skills not just in school, but throughout life; these are the 5 Rs which run through all aspects of our work in school. Our staff team is dedicated and committed to these values to ensure we expect all pupils, regardless of need, to become successful pupils and learners who thrive each and every day in and out of school. 

Risk taking – Always give your best efforts and never be afraid of making mistakes or getting things wrong

Resilience – Don’t give up. Success can be difficult, but worth the effort.

Reflection – think about your learning and how you can improve

Resourcefulness - There are many resources which help us learn – let’s make sure we use them to support us in our learning journey

Relationships – The best version of ourselves will always develop healthy relationships with our friends, fellow pupils and adults in schools.
